Arrive at Govindghat (1,800m). Overnight stay, trek preparations.
Trek 13km through forests and alongside the Pushpawati river to Ghangaria (3,050m) u2014 the base for both Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib.
Full day exploration of the Valley of Flowers (3,658m). Hundreds of Himalayan wildflower species in bloom. Return to Ghangaria.
Morning in the valley for photography. Afternoon visit to Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara (4,329m) u2014 a sacred Sikh shrine beside a glacial lake.
Descend back to Govindghat through the beautiful gorge. Farewell dinner.
Drive to Rishikesh or Haridwar for onward journey. End of trek.
