Day 1
Delhi to Shimla
Depart Delhi. Drive to Shimla u2014 the colonial hill station. Explore Mall Road and The Ridge.
Day 2
Shimla to Kalpa
Drive through apple country via Narkanda to Kalpa (2,759m). Evening views of Kinner Kailash.
Day 3
Kalpa to Tabo
Drive through the stunning Spiti gorge. Stop at Nako Lake and the ancient Tabo Monastery (996 CE).
Day 4
Tabo to Kaza
Visit the cliff-perched Dhankar Monastery. Continue to Kaza (3,800m) u2014 capital of Spiti Valley.
Day 5
Kaza u2014 Key Monastery & Villages
Visit Key Monastery (4,116m), Kibber and Langza villages with the giant Buddha statue.
Day 6
Kaza to Chandratal
Drive toward the frozen Chandratal Lake (4,300m). Dramatic winter snowscapes. Camp at Gramphoo.
Day 7
Gramphoo to Manali
Cross the high passes into Manali via Rohtang or alternate route. Arrive and celebrate.
Day 8
Manali Sightseeing
Explore Old Manali, Hadimba Devi Temple, and Solang Valley snow activities.
Day 9
Manali to Delhi
Morning departure from Manali. Drive back to Delhi via Chandigarh. Arrive late evening.
